Origins

Individuality is obverse to cohesion.

The singular purpose obviates any need for occlusion. Closing off half of the complex self is the usual solution to persistant doubt. Limit yourself and your footprint is that of just one foot, Confined dimensionally, it can not travel that far. It can not "go".

Part of the contract with nature is the fludiity of molecules. We can not stop ourselves in this way, single minded hysteria has gripped the world into a war of duality.

Fear is an effort to avoid that grips you by the spine with electrical urgency charging our muscles to release whatever energy can be drawn from the blood, the gut, the brain nearly emits light it draws so much power that in the morning it awakes with an ache that stops it thinking all day.

We are only human and by that we mean that we must fall victim to the cultural mismanagement of consciousness. We are encouraged to be singular, and yet that is not what we are. Our nature is that of a duality, sides naturally in conflict with each other genrating the electricity that sets your spine alight and your engages your mind during epiphany.

"being in conflict with oneself" is seen as neurosis.

As Plato pointed out our culture survives because of specialisation. Because you, the best potential doctor in the community, becomes the best doctor that you can be. And I struggle to write. But doctors do not always look after their own health despite medical know-how. And yet I write. Why do we continue to convince ourselves that our single-mindedness is the solution when it is not being able to use our minds in unison without being called crazy or at best a prodigy. It takes only an average person of moderate intellect to become a amart person. Being able to control both sides of the mind in cohesion creates a more powerful integrated force.

And that makes for a more soulful life and meaningful relationships.
